HiWave Technologies PLC - formerly NXT PLC - announces company name change

Cambridge (UK), 20th December 2010: HiWave Technologies PLC (“HiWave” or “the Company”), the provider of electronic solutions for audio and haptics, announces that with immediate effect the company name NXT PLC is changed to HiWave Technologies PLC.

The change has been implemented as a key element of the Company’s transition to a developer and vendor of components and modules that exploit its patented Bending Wave Technology. The transition commenced with a successful fundraising in October. HiWave is targeting the markets where high quality Human Interface is demanded, including hand-held computing and telecommunications, computer-centric music, automotive entertainment and control systems, and industrial and home automation.

The Group’s Stock Exchange ‘ticker’ code will change to HIW on 21 December 2010. The financial year will also change to 30 September 2011, resulting in a 15 month period for the current financial year.
